In a discrete lattice field simulation using a local tension gradient, I observe an emergent acceleration toward a critical point near the end of the evolution. The system shows a self-amplifying velocity increase without an external driving force. Is there a known mechanism or a mathematical framework (e.g., in nonlinear dynamics or critical phenomena) that describes such behavior in lattice systems?
