Global travel marketplace Expedia Group has agreed a deal to buy Dublin-based tech firm CarTrawler for an undisclosed sum.

The dealn, which remains subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.

Peter O'Donovan, the chief executive of CarTrawler, said the company's acquisition by Expedia Group is a testament to the strength of its technology, the drive of its people, its track record of innovation and its accelerating commercial momentum.

"This exciting combination allows us to advance our mission as part of travel's best and most complete B2B engine, unlocking new opportunities for innovation and growth," he added.
