FAQ
Frequently asked.
Which AI assistants does this work with?+Any client that speaks MCP. That includes Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT with custom connectors, among others. You add the CalmSEO MCP URL once and the Search Console tools show up alongside the rest.
Is it really free?+Yes. Search Console tools are free on every plan, including the free tier. No card needed to connect. Credits only apply to paid tools like keyword volume, SERP, ranked keywords, and page audits.
Is the Google connection read-only?+Yes. CalmSEO requests the read-only Search Console scope. It can read analytics, queries, pages, and sitemap status, and that’s it. It can’t submit URLs, edit properties, or post on your behalf.
How fresh is the data?+It comes from Google’s Search Console API directly. Google’s reporting usually lags by two or three days, so very recent traffic may not appear yet.
Can it combine GSC with keyword research data?+Yes. The same MCP endpoint exposes keyword volume, keyword ideas, ranked keywords, and SERP tools. Your assistant can pull striking-distance queries from GSC and look up volume for each in one conversation.
Does it replace Search Console?+No. Search Console has its own UI, alerts, and indexing controls. CalmSEO is for asking questions about the data it exposes through the API.
