OpenXiv is a preprint server that lives in your social feed.
Built on the AT Protocol. Preprints federate to Bluesky. Endorsements are typed verbs
(verified derivation, reproduced result, checked references) rather than generic likes.
Every paper carries a Trust Passport with four lanes: transparency, identity, integrity,
social review.
Open to independent researchers without institutional backing. Sign in with ORCID or
did:plc, with no endorsement gating and no affiliation filter.
You don't have to be in the field to read papers in the field. Each preprint comes with
three explainer tiers (school, undergrad, expert) next to the original. Human-written or
AI generated and labelled as such. Read whichever fits, then drop into the original when
you're ready.
AI-assisted work is welcome under clear standards: disclose the involvement level, name
the models, verify every citation and number, never list AI as an author. The full
code of conduct applies. Unverified or hallucinated
output is refused with a public refusal packet naming the failure mode. We return work
for revision instead of banning authors.
