If you bought Permute on the App Store, upgrading to Permute 4 requires a separate upgrade tool. Apple does not allow discount coupons on the App Store, so the upgraded version will not be distributed there. The tool verifies your Permute 3 App Store installation automatically.

Reworked trim and crop tools

Trim and crop rebuilt from the ground up. Audio trimming includes waveform visualisation; video and image cropping gain pixel rulers for precise alignment.

Workshop in the main workflow

Add PDF and text files directly to the queue, use a new metadata editor for batch changes, and access a dedicated actions menu on every file.

Drop zones

Create predefined conversion destinations with presets or custom groups, then drop files onto them to start automatic conversions — no manual setup needed.

Better ProRes performance

The ProRes preset uses hardware acceleration with the system-provided Apple encoder for better performance and officially supported output.
