The craziest steroid Olympics ended in total embarrassment

NEXTA (@nexta_tv): "💉 The world’s craziest steroid Olympics ended in total embarrassment

The Enhanced Games in Las Vegas officially allowed athletes to use performance-enhancing drugs. Organizers promised a revolution in sports.

Instead, only one world record was broken.

Swimmer Kristian Gkolomeev beat the 50m freestyle record by just 0.07 seconds — while wearing a banned high-tech swimsuit.

Meanwhile, Fred Kerley, who promised to “destroy” Usain Bolt’s record, delivered a time that would have finished last in the Olympic final.

The most humiliating part? Some events were won by athletes who weren’t using doping at all. After the show, shares of the main sponsor crashed by 41%." | XCancel

Turns out raw talent and proper training still matter more than a cocktail of stuff.

the bet athletes will always be better than someone who dopes and the vast majority of the best athletes would not squander their reputations by doping, so its not really a surprise. Though i am sure as 'enhancements' develop, this may become quite the bizarre spectacle

Because the top 'clean' guys are already using or they wouldn't be top.

How embarrassing. More pills and much stronger dopes needed next time? 😀

If drugs were enough then Russian and Chinese athletes would dominate the Olympics

Interesting case study:

- Doping didn’t guarantee dominance.
- Technology loopholes (swimsuit) still matter.
- Spectator trust and sponsor value took a hit.
A reminder that integrity fuels lasting success.

Sprinter Fred Kerley, who hyped destroying Usain Bolt's 100m record, ran 9.97s—a time that would have placed last in the Paris Olympic final—while some clean athletes won their events.

The event's failure to deliver revolutionary performances led to a sharp drop in the main sponsor's shares, exposing limits of doping without elite technique and training.

Quite embarrassing for the organizers. Having Athletes who aren’t on steroids win some of the games while competing with those on steroids, such a shame.

The real money is in sports that officially ban doping. No mainstream athlete will compete in a crappy competition that allows doping. That's why the results are what they are.
