Megastorm [ϟ‿ϟ]
Multi-framework brainstorming for Claude Code/Cowork

Megastorm is a Claude Code/Cowork brainstorming skill that RNG’g its way out of mind and into reality, and has been an unreasonable amount of fun.
Most brainstorms yield trad boring recycled ideas or devolve into sound-smart-in-meetingism. So, skip that fuckery and hand your problem brief to Megastorm. It will spawn minions (sub-agents) to brainstorm across 3-5 cognitive frameworks in parallel. Then, a synthesis agent summarizes the output into ranked insights. The magic is that each framework runs in its own isolated agent, so they can’t groupthink each other to dumbassity.

What it does

Hand it a brief. Megastorm:
Reads the problem — pulls context from your project files. If your brief is thin or bullshit, it interviews you instead of guessing.

Picks the frameworks — diagnoses the problem’s shape (”this is a positioning problem,” “this is a root-cause problem”) and selects 3–5 from the library of 11 below. Feeling feisty? Override it and pick your own.

Spawns a sub-agent per framework — each gets the brief and its own instructions.

Synthesizes — finds where the frameworks converged, where they clashed, and ranks the insights.

The framework library

Inversion: Define what makes an experience maximally horrible → invert it.
Jobs to Be Done: What is this product actually hired to do?
Six Hats: Six cognitive modes — facts, emotion, devil’s advocate, optimism, creativity, process.
Five Whys: Drill past symptoms until you hit something structural.
Extreme Questions: What if 10x price increase? 1/10 budget? Launch in a weekend? Zero technology? Creativity via thinking at extremes.
Reframe: The stated problem is almost never the real one. Reframe it in different ways and watch the solution space move. Same facts → new frame → novel solution.
Behavioral Science: Design for the human that exists, not the one you wish existed (Sutherland / Cialdini / Kahneman).
Six Behavioral Lenses (Mine): My personal diagnostic teardown — shadow product, identity permission, scarcity-as-event, dimension shifting, rationalization, narrative finitude.
Identity Persuasion: The product is an identity trade. Who does the user become by engaging?
Anti-Incumbent: Map every attribute incumbents share, invert them all, find the breakout product in the negative space. Liquid Death showed us the way.
Each framework is a single .md file. If you are feeling intrepid, you can even ADD YER OWN FRAMEWORK 😱. Drop into the directory and Megastorm will automagically consider it.
What you get

Each Megastorm sesh comes complete with:
Where the frameworks converged: insights that multiple frameworks landed on during their independent analysis.
Where the frameworks disagreed: points of creative tension.
Single-framework insights: the juiciest insights that only one framework was weird enough to see.
The Wild Card: one unhinged idea designed to make you slightly uncomfortable.
Tiny Experiment: the cheapest/quickest test of the biggest idea.
The Deep Dive: all the details for the truly degenerate.
Will this work where you run Claude?

Poss. Megastorm’s architecture leans hard on tokenmaxxing by spawning parallel sub-agents. That capability isn’t available in every Claude product:
✓ Claude Code - Yes
✓ Claude Cowork - Yes
🤨 Claude Chat - Not really
Install - Claude Code

Megastorm is a Claude Code skill . It installs into your local skills directory.
git clone https://github.com/unrefined-ruffian/megastorm.git ~/.claude/skills/megastormThat’s it. In Claude Code, you can now type /megastorm and it’ll run.
Install - Claude Cowork

Usage

In any session:
/megastorm

I'm trying to figure out how to make a new coffee shop interesting
in a market where every café looks like every other café. What's
the wedge?
Known Best Practices:
Megastorm thrives on context, pointing it at specific files/research will or invoking it from a folder with a solid CLAUDE.MD file will get you better results.

Use 5 frameworks, max.

Happy stormin’. I would love to hear your feedbacks 🖤
