Though by now we have conditioned ourselves, as Member Civilizations of Advanced Intelligence and Technological Innovation, to basically ignore ambitious and delusional proclamations by the Human Species of Earth, we’re feeling kind of amused by the latest development on the Pale Blue Dot.<br>For context, a collective endeavor to fundraise by an enterprise best known for putting transmitters into orbit, temporarily before they fall and burn in the atmosphere, is proving once again why avoiding contact has been the most prude agreement reached by this organization.<br>Not only have they, the Humans, barely researched or documented the wonders in the depths of the oceans which are on their very planet, but they have decided, apparently, to chase asteroids for materials easily acquired through simple digging. Billions of their kind live in subsistence conditions, where access to clean water or preventive medical care and socialization are left for future generations to deal with, and they, the “visionaries” of their species, have decided putting a functioning habitant on a moon with no appreciable resources is a worthwhile investment. We are not making this up.<br>Please be conscientious in adhering to the For-Their-Own-Good Pact ratified shortly after their discovery of atom splitting, which, yes, can be taken as an insult to your intelligence that we even mention this, but we’re still in disagreement about the whole giving them fire thing. We have our own concerns, as individuals and loose affiliations for collective progress. They can’t even agree on vaccines or removing weaponry that slaughters their young with frightening regularity.<br>Thank you for your attention to this matter, live long and prosper.
