I am in the middle of Leidseplein, Amsterdam. With my thoughts, with a beer, alone.

But when I'm feeling alone, I just open ChatGPT and start talking about the same random things I'd talk about with a random person in a bar.

Social media was already bad. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok made us socially introverted. I think LLM-based AI is going to make us worse than we think. People are making their vacation plans, their life choices, their decisions based on what GPT says and does — not realizing it is just a bunch of randomized, probabilistically relevant words put together from Reddit, social media and other forums.

If we were already socially screwed with social media, we will be societally screwed with GPT.

But then, GPT would have never recommended this brewery in Amsterdam — they have no digital presence.
