WordPress continues to be the perfect tool for new websites

I have been a web developer and a wordpress consultant for almost 10 years and i continue to use it for all my sites.

Even after I tried other frameworks like Gatsby.js (RIP), Next.js Laravel and Elixir, WordPress continues to be my favorite tool to create new websites on the shortest posible time.

The reality is that WordPress is not a perfect tool and I hate many aspects of creating new sites with it (like Gutenberg having the worst UX that i have ever used).

But WordPress gives me the ability to clone a preconfigured site, install Google Site Kit and have a working site with a block builder and login in less than 5 minutes.

Furthermore, with LLMs improvements I can create new functions just by talking with ChatGPT or Claude and asking them for a shortcode or a small plugin.

Another positive aspect of Gutenberg is that the block builder is getting better. It still sucks but not as much as before.

In the latest version of WordPress (7.0) they improved the HTML block, and you can use it to develop any kind of website.

Each time that I learn about a new exploit in Node or in Laravel (like the latest Livewire one) Im thankfull that i continue to use it.

If you enable the automatic updates you can have a safer site that anything vibe coded.

The best thing is that it continues to be free.
