Read HN post this morning detailing all the surveillance in Seattle. This begs a broader question: are certain areas in the U.S. freer of surveillance than others. Cottages by lakes (less surveillance coming from the water), college towns, big cities but don t drive, small towns, Upper Peninsula Michigan, middle of farmland, next to the Amish? Any practical ideas.
