What hosting platforms are supported?

Any platform that supports custom domains via A or CNAME records can be linked. This includes individual VPS servers.

Can I change my DNS targets later?

Absolutely. You can log into your hyp dashboard at any time to update, replace, or delete your A and CNAME records. Changes sync to our Cloudflare DNS network in seconds.

Do you support SSL out of the box?

Yes. Because the hyp platform integrates directly with Cloudflare, all subdomains automatically provision and renew SSL/TLS certificates. You don't have to manage certs or handle renewals.

Are there any limits on subdomains?

To prevent abuse and keep the service free for developers, we limit subdomain creations to 1 free domain per user. Subdomain names must be 4–32 characters, and cannot use reserved words or begin/end with hyphens.

Can I use Cloudflare with my hyp subdomain?

Not at this time. hyp subdomains are already proxied through our own Cloudflare infrastructure, which handles SSL and DNS automatically. We currently only support A and CNAME records, so you cannot point a hyp subdomain to Cloudflare's nameservers or use Cloudflare as an additional proxy layer.

What content or activities are prohibited?

We prohibit pornography, phishing, fraud, cryptocurrency mining, malware, and similar misuse across all our services. Violations result in immediate service suspension with no refund. See our Terms of Service for complete details.
