Is Budjo really private?Without an account, your data lives only on your device. When you sign in, it syncs through our infrastructure (Supabase) under strict access rules: only you, and any household members you invite, can see your shared data. Budjo never connects to your bank and never sends your spending to analytics tools. Sync isn't end-to-end encrypted yet, and we say so plainly.
Does it work offline?Once you've signed in, Budjo keeps working without internet. You can add transactions, see your balances, and browse your categories. If syncing is on, it'll catch up the next time you're online.
Can I share with my partner or family?Yes. With the Couple plan, two adults share one household. Both sign in, both see the same budget. The Family plan brings up to 5 people onto a single budget, with shared accounts, goals, and Buckets. No more spreadsheets, no fights over who can see what.
Can I migrate from Mint, YNAB, or Monarch?Yes, on the Individual plan and up. When you bring in a CSV file, you can match the columns to your fields and check the rows before saving.
What devices are supported?Budjo runs in your browser. Open it on your phone, tablet, or computer. Nothing to download.
Do you use AI?No. Every number in Budjo today is plain math. There's no AI, and nothing quietly learning your habits in the background. Your daily number is just arithmetic, and category suggestions match what you type against a list.
Will Budjo stay focused and not add random AI features?Budjo's job is to show you where your money goes, clearly, privately, and without nagging. We don't run AI models in the app today. Anything we add later has to be clear, optional, and based on simple rules by default.
