Chile’s long path to eliminating leprosy<br>This year, Chile reached a milestone that, worldwide, only the country of Jordan has achieved. After decades of sustained effort, Chile passed the final stage of verification for the elimination of leprosy, becoming the first country in the Region of the Americas to do so.
