So I figured I’d just lay it all out the real, messy, everyday ways I’m actually using .NET right now. Not the marketing bullet points. Just me, my projects, my clients, my weird side experiments, and the occasional 3am debugging session.<br>Here are the seven ways .NET is quietly running my entire life these days.<br>1. APIs with ASP.NET Core<br>This is still where most of my invoices come from. Last month I shipped a fintech dashboard for a client that handles six-figure daily transactions. Minimal APIs, OpenAPI baked in, the new built-in rate limiting… I swear I spent more time drinking coffee than actually writing code.<br>Hot reload is so stupidly good now that I caught myself muttering “thank you Microsoft” out loud while my client watched over Zoom. Embarrassing, but true.<br>The performance numbers still blow my mind every deploy. I used to throw money at bigger servers. Now I just smirk at the Azure bill.
