Do I need an account to play?

No. You can join (and even host) as a guest. Sign in if you want a screen name, avatar, and your club history saved.

Do I need a phone to play?

Yes. The phone (iOS or Android) is your private hand — that's where your hole cards and action buttons live. Tablets, laptops, and TVs handle the shared table view in a browser; they don't replace the player's phone.

Is this real-money poker?

No. Smart Dealer is for in-person social play. Chips are tracked for the game; we don't handle wagers, deposits, or withdrawals.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Smart Dealer runs on a central server so the table view, players' phones, and any spectators all stay in sync.

What if my friends don't have the app?

They can still watch the table from any browser at gameplay.smartdealer.poker. To actually play, they'll need the iOS or Android app — it's a quick install and they can sign in as a guest.
