Space for OpenAI DevDay in San Francisco is very limited. Submit your application by July 10, 2026.

We’ll let you know if we were able to secure you a spot at OpenAI DevDay or on the waitlist by late July. To help us welcome as many people as possible, those accepted will have 14 days to register before their spot is offered to someone on the waitlist. The cost of registration is $650.

Where and when is OpenAI DevDay?−<br>OpenAI DevDay is on September 29, 2026 at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

Who should apply?+<br>OpenAI DevDay is for developers and hands-on technical builders, including engineers, technical founders, researchers, creators, and technical leaders actively building with AI or ready to start.

The program is technical and designed for people who want to build, experiment, compare notes with other developers, and spend time with the OpenAI teams building the tools.

How do I apply?+<br>Submit your application here by July 10, 2026. The application will ask for some basic information about you and what you’re building or hoping to explore at OpenAI DevDay.

Space is very limited, so if you’re interested, be sure to submit your application by July 10.

Does applying guarantee me a ticket?+<br>No. Space is limited, and your application is a request to attend. We will let you know of your application status by late July.

What happens if I’m invited?+<br>If selected, you will have two weeks to claim your ticket before it is offered to someone on the waitlist.

How much does it cost to attend?+<br>If you’re selected to attend, registration is $650.

Are scholarships available?+<br>Yes. We’ll offer a limited number of scholarships that cover registration and may include travel and accommodation. You can submit for scholarship consideration in your application.

What if I get invited but can’t make it? Can I give my ticket to someone else?+<br>We’ll be sad to miss you! However, invitations and tickets are non-transferable. If you can no longer attend, please reach out at devday@openai.com and we’ll give your spot to someone on the waitlist.

Will tickets be available day-of?+<br>Unfortunately not. You’ll need to receive an invitation and complete registration before arriving at Fort Mason.

If you can’t join us in-person, the opening keynote will be livestreamed and open to all. We’ll also post recordings of other sessions on openai.com following the event.

What if I can’t make it to San Francisco?+<br>The opening keynote will be livestreamed for free and is open to everyone, with no advance sign-up required. Other sessions will be recorded and posted on openai.com shortly after the event.

You can also sign up for updates about DevDay Exchanges in cities around the world. This year, we’ll be hosting in Bengaluru, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Berlin, London, São Paulo, and Mexico City.
