§ 01 The problem
Thirty-four symptoms. One shrug.
Perimenopause can surface as hot flashes, but also as anxiety, brain fog, joint pain, palpitations, tinnitus, even a burning tongue. Scattered across years and specialists, most women are handed an antidepressant and the door, with nothing tying any of it together.
And in too many places, it's never named at all. The shame and the silence do the rest. Primrose & Eve exists to close that gap: a quiet record, kept in your own hands, that turns a confusing season into evidence no one can wave away.
"You can't argue with a pattern. That's the whole point."
§ 02 How it works
A minute in the evening. A record that holds up.
Three small habits, built to disappear into the day, and to speak clearly when it counts.
§ 03 In the app
Built to disappear into the day.
No streaks to protect, no badges to chase. A calm icon for every symptom, a severity scale you read at a glance, and nothing that makes you feel bad for closing the app.
§ 04 The vocabulary
Thirty-four symptoms, one honest language.
Each symptom has a name and an icon. Including the ones that never make it into the appointment: the tinnitus, the electric shocks, the burning tongue. Naming the thing is often the first step to being taken seriously.
Read what each symptom means →
Gold marks the "invisible" symptoms: real, common, and easy to miss.
§ 05 The report
The part that changes the appointment.
Everything you've lived, distilled into one clean briefing built for the fifteen minutes you actually get.
Three answers your clinician can act on:
What's happening
Your symptoms, frequencies, severity and trends - reconstructed from real days, not a memory under pressure in the exam room.
What may be driving it
Triggers, time-of-day clusters, cycle phase, premenstrual flares, medication effects. Each one found by running your data through the same statistical tests an epidemiologist would, and surfaced only when the math says it's real.
What to ask
A short list of specific, informed questions for your doctor - so you lead the conversation instead of leaving with it unsaid.
§ 06 How we know it's real
Your report only shows what the data supports.
The Smart Report isn't an AI guess at your patterns. It's the readout of statistical tests run on every day you've logged. If a finding makes it in, it passed a stricter bar than chance alone. If a section is missing, the data didn't support it, and we don't pretend it did.
Triggers held to a statistical bar
We compare your hot flash rate on coffee days versus non-coffee days using the same chi-square test epidemiologists use, with a false-discovery correction across all your triggers. The ones that make it into your report passed a stricter bar than chance alone.
Cycle and premenstrual analysis, any cycle
When your cycles are regular, we compare your follicular and luteal phases. When they're not, which is common in perimenopause, we anchor backward to your logged periods and compare the week before each one against the rest.
HRT before and after, with the caveat printed
We compare your hot flash rate in the days before HRT against the days since, capped at a 90-day baseline to limit statistical noise. Early changes may partly reflect natural variation, and we tell your doctor that in writing.
Apple Health correlations, when they earn it
Resting heart rate, sleep, steps, and wrist temperature. Surfaced only when they pass the same statistical bar as your triggers, not whenever they happen to wobble.
Time-of-day clusters, when they cluster
Your hot flashes either cluster in a window or they don't. The "evening peak" callout only fires when the math agrees they cluster.
What you see is what the math saw. No more, no less.
§ 07 Privacy is the foundation
We never store your health data. It lives on your device and your private iCloud. We can't see it, sell it, or lose it.
The only time anything is transmitted is when you tap to import a lab PDF or generate a report. Processed in the moment to do that one job, then gone. No third-party trackers. No analytics SDKs. Not now, not later.
No account on our servers. Sign in with Apple. No email, no password, nothing for us to leak.
No trackers, no ad SDKs. Not Google, Meta, Mixpanel, or anyone. Ever.
Voice notes are never stored. Transcription happens on device. Only the text is kept.
Export everything, anytime. Your full data as JSON, free, never held hostage.
Erase everything, everywhere. One tap wipes your device and your iCloud zone. A true fresh start.
