Many use music to stay focused when working or learning, but not every piece of music helps; some can lead to the opposite if it’s emotional, or if the lyrics are ones your brain starts listening to. Below are some sites and music providers that are mostly neuroscientifically tested to help you deeply focus.
With the providers below, you don’t choose the music, but you choose the genre. And there are no lyrics.
# Music Providers for Deep Focus
Focus@Will: Best and Original creator of this genre. They just added a new service:
focus.music. Same quality, a little different approach.
This is my personal favorite, and I use them more than 10 years, I have a lifetime subscription.
Brain.fm: Helps you focus relax and sleep better, using cutting edge neuroscience to get results.
Noisli: Your digital place for calm and focus. Mix different ambient noises and create your perfect soundscape for work, sleep and relax.
Same no-vocal-music in a loop : Your brain will stop paying attention any longer. Some of my favorites - Everything that has no vocals and is repetitive works really well to me. E.g., below playlists I listen maybe 10000 times, works all the time. Depending on mood and work, I like to change sometimes.
myNoise: Custom Soundscapes for Focus, Relaxation & Sleep
e.g. coffee list

Endel: Focus faster and maintain your concentration with sounds backed by science.
# Great Playlists for Looping Soundtracks
Playlist to run in the background, that keeps you focused (electronic vibes):
La Belle Mixtape | Spotify
LA BELLE MUSIQUE | Spotify
EDM Focus (No vocals) | Spotify
GIRL TALK - ALL DAY - ILLEGAL ART
origin: CGP grey (
2: Redundant Office)
Mix - José González - Heartbeats Playlist
# Choosing Channels: Genres instead of Tracks
This is how you choose the channel, instead of music tracks themself:
# Place and Office
I recently listened to the
2: Redundant Office with CGP grey (see my comments CGP grey), which does bursts of work while walking around London, which I found works for me, too.
Sitting down and working for 1.5-2 hours. Then gets up, walks, and finds a new place to work. This cycle helps to be productive.
# When Blocked
When in a Writers Block, I used these Strategies to Unblock, or go into Nature.
