To address this gap and help shift the focus from purely theoretical explanations to guided interaction, we are thrilled to announce a powerful new feature built directly into our user interface: Turnkey Lab Exercises .
Ready-to-Use Modules for Your Curriculum<br>We designed these lab exercises to be easy for faculty to incorporate week-by-week into a standard semester curriculum. Currently in Beta testing for existing customers and anyone who starts a free trial, the platform currently offers a robust set of Beginner and Intermediate exercises.<br>To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, each module is split into two parts:<br>The "Learn" Section: Provides the educational background information and a knowledge-check quiz.<br>The "Lab" Section: Provides the core objectives, the required 5G tools, and the steps needed to execute the task.<br>To help professors easily gauge which exercises to assign, each module is clearly labeled with its difficulty level, topic category, and an estimated completion time. Currently, users can jump into modules like<br>UE Registration<br>Subscriber Management<br>Network Slicing<br>QoS & Traffic Shaping<br>We also have Advanced and Research-level exercises in near-term development, which will cover topics like<br>DDoS Attack Simulation & IDS Detection<br>O-RAN xApp Deployment<br>Custom xApp Development<br>Complete Control and Automated Grading for Faculty<br>We know that educators have limited time, which is why we built a back-end dashboard that gives professors full control over the learning experience. Faculty can easily manage which labs to assign to specific students, set strict deadlines, and dictate how many attempts a student gets to successfully complete an assignment.<br>Even better, all validation is fully automated by the Testbed ecosystem . To complete an exercise, students simply record their work as a trace file (PCAP) and upload it to the platform. The system automatically analyzes the 5G message flows within these files to verify if the steps were executed properly and provides an overall pass/fail status.
