Honestly they could recover it, they choose not to because they dont give a shit about their user base. They never have. Its a massive company about selling your info to the highest bidder. They did the same to me with my Xbox Account which i had from day one of Xbox Live (20yrs+).
Microsoft do not have any support service though in house, it's all volunteers throughout the community who are super limited and restricted to what they can do.
@Microsoft are absolutely useless and do NOT care about legit accounts of it's users. They have done everything but take care of it's long term users.
