I built a tool that tile-packs repos. docs, files, and prompts into images for 60–75% fewer Claude/Codex tokens.

I was recently impressed by pxpipe, which reduces context usage by rendering text as images for vision-capable models like Claude.

That made me wonder: instead of placing raw text on a single image, could we preserve more of its structure?

I built ctx2img, which converts repositories, directories, Markdown, prompts, and other text into dense, tile-packed images. For example, markdown sections and files become labeled tiles, and an optimizer arranges them to minimize wasted space.

The goal is to retain visual hierarchy while cutting context tokens by roughly 60–75%.
