Awesome Binary Ninja Research 馃シ

A curated list of academic papers, theses, and workshop publications that use, integrate, or evaluate Binary Ninja as a reverse engineering / binary analysis platform.

Papers range from tools built directly on top of Binary Ninja (plugins, decompilers, symbolic execution engines) to benchmark studies that evaluate it alongside other disassemblers/decompilers such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, and angr.

Sorted by year, most recent first.

Contributing

Contributions are welcome! If you know of an academic paper that uses Binary Ninja and isn't listed here, feel free to open a pull request or an issue.

To add a paper:

Fork this repository

Add your entry to the table, keeping it sorted by year (most recent first)

Open a pull request with a short note on where/how Binary Ninja is used in the paper

Please make sure the paper is:

A genuine academic publication (conference, workshop, journal, thesis, or arXiv preprint)

Actually using, integrating, or evaluating Binary Ninja (not just citing it in passing)
