We (wife and I) just received emails from Gmail stating effective 45 days from now, all data included in your Android device backups will begin counting toward your Google Account storage limit. Photos and videos in Google Photos and MMS data already count toward your Google Account storage today. I m glad they pasted an estimated increase at the bottom of the email, it doesn t change too much for us but I imagine anyone already close to their storage limit will be affected.
