There was talk about the fact that the Pac Man/Men were free to roam anywhere on the map, eating as much as they could, including, on occasion, the so called: 'Ghost People' who had gathered together to protect their lands. Odd as it may seem, or according to some alien set of laws & beliefs, the Pac Man would not enter areas in the center of these maps, which were considered off limits. These protected areas became sacred to the 'ghost people', their last bastions of defence, where they performed various rituals and resurrection ceremonies.
