Berlin's annual Pride event,Christopher Street Day (CSD), has been canceled after a police incident involving several injured people.
Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of Berlin to advocate for tolerance and diversity, culminating in a show on Saturday night at the Brandenburg Gate.
Police have asked people to avoid the area around Tiergarten, saying a "major operation" was underway.
Media reports suggest several people were injured when a car drove into a crowd. It was not immediately clear whether the incident was intentional or, if so, whether CSD was the target.
The main parade had been scheduled to run over two days for the first time this year, beginning on Saturday and wrapping up on Sunday.
