I am the author of an open source media viewer called Lowkey Media Viewer that s been around for years and has some users and Patreon support, but I ve always wanted to add some basic editing features to it. I have some experience with After Effects and one thing I always wanted was a way to just create effects on the fly with a shader language. This lead me to try building a compositor around the idea of layered shader chains resulting in this first attempt which has come out pretty well. I ve made a library of presets, but you can actually just write your own shaders and add them to any layer. It s pretty cool so I wanted to share it. Everything is MIT License, and this is just one part of the lowkey project which also includes the viewer, and a media server for async indexing, vector embedding jobs. The Studio is particularly cool though and its available directly from the docs site, and also in the media viewer app.
