Actually leaving my house more often

I've always wanted to do more stuff. I spend most of my day(s) sitting alone in my room. When I'm not at school or work (which I currently don't have), I usually preferred to spend my time by myself.

Recently that has become something I want to do less and less. I've been busy, I made new friends and reconnected with old ones, and I'm now actively leaving my house (almost too much for my own comfort even). It's really fun, I get to meet people (incredibly scary, still nonverbal a lot) and go places I haven't been before and I get to do it with people whose company I truly enjoy.

A couple posts ago I mentioned that I've started playing magic the gathering again and that has been super fun. I've been going to game shops and stores and playing commander nights and interacting with people and just spending more time out of my house and it's been really nice.

Often, I don't even get back to my place until well after midnight, both because of how late I'm staying at events and also just travel time because of how far I find myself some days.

This is the first time in a long time that I've had actual irl friends, ones that I see regularly and of my own choice. It's very different from being tolerable of people at school, those are people I see and can be amicable with but not anyone I would consider a friend really.

It's very refreshing to be social again. I love being alone and I need my personal time a lot, it takes a lot of energy to leave my house and interact with anyone in any way. I adore spending time curled up in my bedroom and reading a book, but that doesn't mean I want to do it forever. Being in the presence of people that actually want and enjoy my presence is so refreshing.

All of this is to say it's partially the reason I've been posting less. That and still unmedicated adhd and nothing to need to distract myself from (like school). I got a couple banger posts in the drafts still we'll see what happens to those lol okbye.
