I built this because I often forget to review some of my Anki decks and read too much HN. Rather than building another full study app, I wanted smth lightweight that appears during a natural context switch: after I finish reading a story’s comments and start choosing what to read next. You can import an Anki .apkg deck. HN Reader uses the scheduling state included in the deck, when available, and then continues scheduling reviews locally using a simplified Anki-style spaced-repetition algorithm. This is deliberately not a full Anki replacement. It does not sync with AnkiWeb, and reviews cannot be exported back to Anki. Cards, images, audio, and review history remain in your browser and are not uploaded to OrangeCrumbs. They are not encrypted, however.
