YT-DLP 720p Channel Downloader
Take back your data – Download YouTube videos without tracking, ads, or proprietary apps.
This simple Windows batch script uses yt‑dlp and FFmpeg to download entire channels or playlists in 720p MP4 format, with:
✅ Automatic size estimation before downloading
✅ Download archive to avoid re-downloading
✅ Easy limit on the number of recent videos
✅ Complete privacy – no Google account, no analytics, no tracking

Stop feeding your watch history to Google – downloads are direct, without signing in.
No ads – watch offline, anytime.
Full control – choose what, when, and where to save.
Lightweight – runs on any Windows PC with just two external tools.
Requirements
Windows (7 or later)
yt‑dlp – download the standalone .exe from yt-dlp releases and place it in the script folder.
FFmpeg – download the shared build (includes ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe.exe) from gyan.dev or BtbN. Place both .exe files in the script folder.
Tip: All required executables must be in the same folder as download_channel.bat.
Installation
Download the download_channel.bat script.
Place yt-dlp.exe, ffmpeg.exe, and ffprobe.exe in the same directory.
(Optional) Create a shortcut to the script for quick access.
Usage
Double‑click download_channel.bat to launch.
Enter the URL of a YouTube channel, playlist, or any URL supported by yt‑dlp.
Example: https://www.youtube.com/@channelname
Or a playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=...
Set a video limit (optional) – type a number to download only the N most recent videos, or press Enter to download all.
The script will estimate the total download size and show the number of videos.
Confirm by typing Y (yes) or N (no).
Downloads begin – all videos are saved to:
