The output is a square matrix barcode that any smartphone camera reads in under a second — no app required on Android 9+ or iOS 11+. No account, no watermark, nothing stored on the server.<br>QR (Quick Response) codes store data as a grid of black and white modules. The grid version scales automatically with data length: a short URL might use a 29x29 grid, while a full vCard with phone, email, address, and job title can need 57x57 modules. Four error correction levels let you trade off data capacity for scan reliability. Level L recovers 7% of damaged data — enough for a clean digital display. Level H recovers up to 30%, which keeps the code scannable even when a logo or decorative element is placed over the center (a common print design technique). Most use cases are served by Level M (15%), which tolerates smudges and minor print defects without making the code larger than necessary.<br>SVG output is resolution-independent: the file scales from business card size to billboard without any quality loss, and a vector editor can apply colors or embed the code inside a logo. PNG output is a fixed-resolution raster image, suited to digital placements where vector format is not accepted — email bodies, CMS fields, social posts. The generator defaults to a white background and black modules, which maximizes scanner contrast and works correctly with all QR readers.<br>Format types in detail<br>URL encodes any web address. Keep the URL short — under 60 characters produces a less dense, more reliably scannable code. Use a URL shortener for long addresses.<br>Text encodes arbitrary strings up to the character capacity of the selected version. Useful for encoding a product SKU, an asset tag, or any short identifier that is not a web address.<br>WiFi encodes SSID, password, and encryption type (WPA, WPA2, WEP, or open networks) in the standard WiFi QR format. Android and iOS parse this format automatically and prompt the user to join the network, without reading out the password.<br>vCard encodes a contact record: name, phone, email, organization, and URL. When a smartphone camera scans a vCard QR, it offers to add the contact directly to the device address book.
