FAQ
Questions, answered

What is TweetExporter and what does it do?+TweetExporter is a web application for exporting publicly available Twitter/X data to files you can use outside the platform. It can export followers, following lists, account timelines, and tweets matching a search query as CSV, Excel, or JSON. You create a TweetExporter account to place exports, track their progress, and download completed files.
How does TweetExporter use my Google account information?+Google Sign-In is an optional way to create or access your TweetExporter account. When you use it, TweetExporter receives your name, email address, and profile image from Google. We use this information only to identify your account, keep you signed in, and send service emails such as export-completion notifications. Your Google account data is not used to collect Twitter/X data. TweetExporter does not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or Google password, and we do not sell your personal information. You can review the full details in our Privacy Policy.
Do I need to connect my X account?+No. TweetExporter never asks you to sign in with X — you create an account with just your email, type any public handle, and export. There's nothing to authorize and nothing to revoke.
How long does an export take?+Accounts under 10,000 followers usually finish in a couple of minutes. Larger accounts run in the background and we email you a download link when the file is ready.
Which accounts can I export?+Any public account — followers, following, tweets, or a custom search. Protected accounts can't be exported.
What formats do you support?+CSV (opens in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers) and JSON for scripts and CRM imports.
Is this allowed by X?+We only collect public data — the same profile information anyone can see in a browser — and we respect X's rate limits. You're responsible for using exports in line with applicable laws and platform terms.
