Today, Lovable became the first AI coding agent platform to achieve AIUC-1, the industry's first security, safety, and reliability standard built specifically for AI agents.
AI coding agents introduce a new kind of risk. Unlike a chatbot, a coding agent produces executable software, code that touches production infrastructure, handles real user data, and runs unattended.
Developed with input from Stanford, MIT, MITRE, and the Cloud Security Alliance, AIUC-1 defines 51 requirements across six principles, covering everything from secrets management and secure code generation defaults, to sandboxed execution, human oversight, and enterprise governance. Each requirement is backed by evidence: documented policies, technical implementation, operational process, and quarterly third-party red-teaming. It's independently verified, not self-attested.
For a full breakdown of the standard, the risks it addresses, and how Lovable meets each requirement, read the complete white paper.
