KitBash Acquires Sketchfab and ArtStation

We know that building worlds is only one part of your process, though. You also need places to find inspiration, share your work, and connect with the community. That’s why we’re excited to share that ArtStation and Sketchfab are moving from Epic Games to join KitBash, expanding our portfolio of creative platforms that includes KitBash3D and Greyscalegorilla.

A More Connected Ecosystem

“ArtStation and Sketchfab are go-to platforms for artists to share and manage their art. KitBash will expand opportunities for artists at every stage of their creation process to connect and showcase their work in new ways,” said Bill Clifford, SVP of the Unreal Ecosystem at Epic Games.

Together with ArtStation and Sketchfab’s art publishing and discovery platforms, artists are supported across the creative process from bringing ideas to life to sharing their work and building their careers.

What This Means for KitBash3D Customers

There will be no changes to how you use KitBash3D or Cargo. Your Kits, assets, Cargo access, and existing subscriptions will continue to operate as they do today. There are also no changes to how creators access or use ArtStation and Sketchfab. Portfolios, libraries, and core workflows will continue to operate as they do now. We can’t wait to see what artists create as these communities come together, and we’re so grateful to have you with us for what comes next.
