Having been online for over two decades, this site has lived through many distinct eras of the web. I compiled this museum exhibit using historical snapshots from the Wayback Machine to show how its layout, design, and content have changed over that time.

2010

This is the first version I could find on Archive.org. It's simple but gets the point across. I considered myself a writer and was trying to start a career with this site.

2011

Added a photo of myself, aren't I handsome? I started adding more of my random projects to the page.

2012

Back before I cared about mobile design, I made this! I actually really like this one. I think this is the period where my design sense was actually quite good.

2012 (pt. 2)

Still has the pop of colour, but added banners for some of my projects. Chilled Soda, what a silly name!

2014

Why did I go from pretty to ugly - I guess I was just really into minimalism at this point. Note the Burma mention, it comes up...

2014 (pt. 2)

Oh look! A photo from my trip to Burma. I guess I was quite proud of that photo and made it the background. Started making little web apps here, was a fun way to learn javascript and the like.

2017

From cool place where my projects live to... yet another blog. This one used Medium as the host, as was the style at the time. I didn't consider myself a "writer" any more but rather a digital marketer, so I gave advice on that.

2019

The blog disapears - back to static site! I also was getting more opinionated in digital marketing and lifestyles in general.

2020

Now THAT is a far better design. Clean, but uses colour.

2024

Slight change in design here. I kind of prefer the 2020 one though. Wonder what happened in that time frame that might have changed things...

2024 (pt. 2)

Oh no, it's getting uglier with every update! This design reminds me of the old days of using frames for the navigation.

2025

Where did the colour go? What was I thinking?

2025 (pt. 2)

At least that's a fun font choice? Kind of nerdy?

2026

Switched to ,Bear blogging. You can probably tell it looks nothing like that now - I am back to pure HTML and CSS.
