Notes from the common room

Mathematics is changing faster than it has in decades. New tools are reshaping not just what’s provable, but what it means to do mathematics and to be a mathematician.

This is a communal blog for mathematicians’ thoughts on that shift, from those with an established platform and those without: PhD students and professors, the skeptics, the curious and the indifferent.

All lengths and registers welcome: a short anecdote, a philosophical essay, a political critique of how labs or institutions are handling this, or simply an honest account of your own relationship with these tools.
