ChatGPT maker OpenAI said Wednesday (Aug. 19) it will expand its ads pilot to 31 markets across Europe, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Portugal.
The pilot was previously only available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, U.K., Japan, South Korea, Brazil, and Mexico.<br>The expansion lands as OpenAI’s ad revenue has grown more than 25% since the start of August, Colin Fleming, the longtime ServiceNow ads exec who now serves as OpenAI’s enterprise CMO, said during a briefing call.
It’s “material expansion for us,” Fleming said, noting that ChatGPT now sees one billion weekly active users, with 20% showing commercial intent.
