This site provides e-learning courseware and training materials<br>(slides, lecture notes, problem sets, Python notebooks…) on risk engineering ,<br>loss prevention and safety management . The<br>course material is targeted at a Master’s level, for students with a<br>technical background in an engineering or scientific discipline. It will also be useful to<br>safety professionals interested in developing their understanding and skills in specific<br>areas.
Risk engineering is the application of engineering skills and methodologies to the management<br>of risk. It involves hazard identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation and risk treatment.<br>Application domains concerned by the concepts covered include health and safety in the oil and<br>gas sector (onshore and offshore), nuclear energy, chemicals manufacturing, aviation, railways,<br>civil engineering and critical infrastructure management. Study in this area can lead to a range<br>of careers in risk engineering.
