Apple Accidentally Leaked More Than 10 New Products in macOS Update
Wednesday August 19, 2026 8:02 am PDT by Joe Rossignol<br>Apple on Monday seeded the macOS 26.7 Release Candidate, and the upcoming software update has seemingly leaked more than 10 new Apple products.
macOS 26.7's code contains references to AirPods with infrared cameras for Visual Intelligence, the long-rumored foldable iPhone, an all-new Apple smart home hub, the first-ever MacBook and iPad mini models with OLED displays, an updated Siri Remote for a next-generation Apple TV, and more, according to MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris.

I’m a little suspicious too. I mean, they’re famously secretive, but at the same time it seems like references to unreleased products very regularly surface in OS updates. You would think they’d have figured out a way to obfuscate these bits of code to keep analysts from digging into them and inferring things.
Exactly. I don't believe that these are accidental for a second. "Leaks" are classic hype building for upcoming events. The Instagram influencers and blogs are eating it up and pumping out free Apple promo like nobody's business.<br>Score: 17 Votes (Like | Disagree)
